Frankenstein #3

1. What was the climax of the story? Some of you have already talked about this in class, but I want each group to come to a consensus.

2. What was the social commentary?

3. Why did you like/dislike the novel? Don't just say "I thought the story was good"... I want some opinion and thought, here! Also, I don't want you to write "it sucked" without backing up your opinion with some good, critical comments. Think of a movie review. Those reviewers never just say "it sucked"... they give evidence and details.
And... it's okay to dislike your book!
---------------------------------------------------------
1. I'd say that the climax of the story is when Elizabeth Lavenza gets murdered the night of her wedding with Victor Frankenstein.

2. The author is saying that taking things to the extreme might just backfire or don't be so easilly decieved, Victor Frankenstein was trying to something that was totally impossible. Ironically the pursuit of his dream became his nightmare (killing all his close ones) because he thought he found the secret of life in some studies. Like in Davy's recent blog's ( I did pay attention when you mentioned the plagiarism) He's trying to play god and there was also no stem cell research. In the end franky dies... and a lose/lose outcome.

3. I found this book to bery very interseting. The beginning is a bit intersesting because when Victor studies chemistry and philosophy and thinks that he has found the key to life by re-animating the dead. well like mutilated body parts. -_-X I like and dislike the book because it has plots that i never had expected to happen and because the ending was sad. well having a sad ending is good too because the majority of the books, movies, and VIDEO GAMES always have a good ending or you win. This give s you a completely different perspective.
btw i remember some mentioned intelligience is seeing things from a different point of view, so i guess books similar to this can make your mind expand.

sorry if this doesnt make sense, my mind is like all over the place.
